About Orthodontic Insurance
There are many different agreements between insurance carriers and their subscribers. It is important to note that orthodontic insurance usually has a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services. This benefit is reimbursed at a percentage until the orthodontic lifetime maximum has been reached.
Payment for your orthodontic treatment works much differently than a payment to your general dentist. Why? When you have a dental procedure completed at your dentist, the procedure is often done in one office visit. In orthodontics, it takes a series of visits in order to complete your orthodontic treatment, which is why the payments may be set up on a monthly basis. Keep in mind, there are always exceptions, and our financial coordinator is more than happy to assist you every step of the way!
