Our Office
Individuals and families looking for a premium orthodontic service may request an orthodontic consultation with Stars Orthodontics. At Stars, our office has been designed to provide the highest quality orthodontic care for patients of all ages.
By maintaining a smaller practice with the up-close, hands-on approach of Dr. Sharaf, we hope to keep a close follow-up with each patient as they progresses through treatment.
Our office has been outfitted with dental equipment that provides our patients with safe, comfortable treatments. At Stars Orthodontics, we offer:
Digital Impressions Using the ITERO® System
No more goop, gagging, or discomfort. Using an iTero scanner, your orthodontist can take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth and jaw. This new technology completely eliminates the tray and putty impressions, an experience comparable to stuffing a big wad of gum in your mouth. The old technique was incredibly unpleasant and frequently resulted in taking multiple rounds of impressions that could be rejected, broken, or misplaced. The iTero scanner ensures a more accurate impression right from the start, resulting in improved treatment and a more comfortable patient experience. Digital impressions also provide you the ability to see your teeth instantly in 3D, while greatly enhancing communication during the consultation and treatment process.
Digital Radiography
To ensure that we provide you with a complete assessment at your initial consultation, we require a panoramic x-ray of your teeth. If your family dentist has taken one within the past six months, a new x-ray may not be necessary. If a recent x-ray is not available, we may need to take a new panoramic x-ray to assess the roots of your teeth, any developing teeth or wisdom teeth, the sinuses and jawbone as well as other developing structures that are not visible by visually inspecting the oral cavity. Compared to conventional radiography, digital radiography emits a fraction of the radiation compared to previous technology. At Stars Orthodontics, we utilize digital radiography to ensure that every patient is exposed to the least amount of radiation possible. In addition, digital radiographs can be sent to other dental providers instantly.
